Stephen is a hands on professional with varied experience in top level management. He has deep experience in strategic planning, project design & implementation, governance, risk management, auditing, accounting and banking.
Currently, Stephen is a Non-Executive Director of Pinnacle Holding Company Ltd. and its subsidiaries, comprising Kasapreko PLC, Royal Crown Company Ltd. and Capemay Properties Ltd. He is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the OMNI Group and a Non-Executive Director of the Chrisline Financial Services Ltd.
Stephen was the Group CEO of Pinnacle Holdings, the Parent Company of Kasapreko PLC and its sister subsidiary companies. He was the pioneer Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) (2015-2017), and was subsequently appointed as the substantive Deputy CEO and CFO/Administrative Officer (2017 to 2019).
Among his work experience, he worked with Agricultural Development Bank Limited as the Chief Audit Executive (2010 – 2015). Prior to that, he worked with A-BAS Consulting Limited as the Chief Executive Officer (2001-2010). At PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), he worked in various capacities from a Senior Assistant Manager and became a Senior Manager from 1995 to 2001 and operated as a member of the Africa Central Regional Team. At Inter-Afrique Holdings, he was the Group Accountant (1990-1993).
Stephen also worked as a Loans and Finance Officer with the Bank for Housing and Construction (1985 -1990) and had the opportunity to work as a Lecturing Assistant at the Accra Technical University in (1984- 1985)
Stephen holds an MBA in Banking Management, B. Com Degree and a Diploma in Education. Professionally, he is a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana and a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. Steve was adjudged the Overall Best Candidate in the Final Qualifying Examinations in the January 1991 Examinations of the ICA, Ghana.
He also received the ICA President's Award for Best Performance in Taxation in the Final Qualifying Examinations of the January 1991 ICA, Ghana examinations. He received the Dean's Award for High Academic Performance after the MBA in Banking Management from the University of Exeter (U.K. - 1994).
Specifically, as the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Steve helped ADB to accomplish its corporate mission and objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach in evaluating the systems, operations, processes and activities of the Bank with the aim of improving the effectiveness of its risk management, control and governance processes. Also, he advised and proffered value adding and cost-effective recommendations to the ADB Board Audit and Risk Committees and Executive Management on improvements in the internal control environment, risk management systems and corporate governance structures.
He has also participated in a host of international conferences on Public- Private Partnership, Trade & Investment as well as Power & Infrastructure and Auditing.
